The New Mexico Cannabis Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee represents the collective interests of cannabis and related businesses before local, state, and federal bodies of government; and their respective agencies.
Committee members meet regularly with elected officials to advocate for business-friendly public policies essential to sustaining and developing the cannabis industry in New Mexico responsibly, inclusively, and professionally.
Each year, the committee prepares a Legislative Agenda and Policy Brief that outlines the Chamber’s positions on issues and presents it to the New Mexico Legislature. The Legislative Policy Agenda will guide all representation efforts during the Legislative Session and during interim committee hearings
The committee organizes gatherings and events with political and business leaders and provides the opportunity for members to directly engage in the creation of policies needed to strengthen the cannabis industry in New Mexico.
